First Impressions of the Book
My first impressions of the book was rather boring and not of my style what so ever. Once I started reading the book it didn't catch my attention, it was very slow. Extremely slow and seemed to be really push away people just be the title of the book. The cover of the book has a bunch of feet on it, and feet tend to stink so I don't know about you but I wouldn't want to read a book that opens with a bunch of feet on the cover. Turns out the book isn't that bad as I thought it would be. After a few pages it sort of picks up a bit more, some action and excitement. Still not of my taste but it's alright. I thought the book would be like most of the other books we read in school but hey it is but it isn't. Some ways it's about people who get lost and band together to find a safe place to stay, similar to say a zombie apocalypse movie. The boys have to watch out for lions and crocodiles and such. They are to the animals a food item so the animals are also hungry. Jacob (the hare) is always hungry and thirsty. But he still pushes himself to move on. That in itself is a good quote "keep moving forward even if you can hardly move keep on pushing yourself through" In the en my first impressions of this book have been altered to not to bad of a book, still not my type of book but it's alright.

Hello Ks167, I strongly agree with your understanding of this book. I also was not impressed with my first impressions of this book either. After reading a few pages and the real action started when he was separated from his mother it finally got my attention.
