Human Centipede's endless walking

Jacob he main character in " A Hare In The Elephant's Trunk" Jacob had to leave his village after it was attacked by the northern army. Jacob is now traveling through Sudan looking for refuge. He has to sleep in he all elephant grass many nights. The grass is very dangerous during the day even more during the nights when the hyenas and lions are out hunting. The setting starts out in the southern part of Sudan in Jacob's village before the war has reached him. After Jacob left his burning village he traveled many days without food, an entire week without water. Once Jacob is on the road to Ethiopia the setting is ranges from the elephant grass to other destroyed villages. Jacob joined up with a giant centipede of people also walking to Ethiopia, this is where he finds his best friend oscar. Ethiopia is Sudan's neighbouring Country, it hasn't been touched by the war yet. I think people living in Canada would see Sudan and Ethiopia as a desert without water, with nothing but dry dirt. Sudan has very rich soil, its true there isn't much water around unless in a river. Sudan is very rich with oil but aren't quite advanced enough to retrieve it. The northern government is going to war with the south because of the oil they have. It seems that more wars are started over oil than anything else. Countries will conquer other countries for their "land" but all they actually want is the oil in the land. These 3rd world countries would be much better off not fighting and working on education their young children to. By educating the young the countries could get out of poverty, starvation and become more advanced providing clean water to all villages. War in the end doesn't benefit anyone.
