Dusty Feet

Before I started reading this book I thought it was going to be about a bunch of poor kids that live off of people's $1 donations. The start of the book started out the kids a playing hide and go seek. Then later on they gave each other gifts. They gifts aren't no iphone or big expensive gift. The gift the boy gave his mom was a clay cow and his mom gave him a heart shaped rock. So in my mind my impression had not changed. Then when the village got raided that's where I found out what this book is going to be about. The Boy’s nephew and him got out of the village together and fell asleep in the woods away from all the danger. In the morning there was no one around. The two boys decided that it would be best to walk to Ethiopia. They both figure that they may also find everyone else there. That is why I have changed my mind on what this book is going to be about.

  4. Hi Pauly D, my only advice is watch your english. for example, they gifts aren't iphones..... that is not proper english. I also thought this was going to be a book just about poor kids.

  5. I agree about what you said Jacob and his village is not made of money and cant buy what we can. His village get cows, cooking pots, and food. We take our everyday needs for granted warm house, good food, fresh water.this was a good blog but for the grammar mistake. (They gifts aren't no iphone or big expensive gift.)

  6. Pauly D i agree with the beginning of your blog where you say the book may have been about children living off a doallar a month in poverty. It would be easy to make that assumptionwithout any prior knowledge of the history of this time period or reading the back of the book. However im not sure what your mean when you say i found out the book is going to be about. Did you mean the themes changed from what they though they were going to be? Perhaps be more clear on that for the next blog. Also watch some of your english. Just some advice for the next blog.

  7. I also agree with how you thought that all the gifts were cheap at the start but when it came to the heart stone and the clay calf may of had more meaning. My idea of the book changed when Jacob's village was raided. For the next blog get a buddy to read over your blog before hand for spelling and grammar errors.

  8. Pauly D I also agree with what you said about how their presents weren't anything expensive. The gifts were made by themselves or they were found, and they ment a lot to the person the gift was given to. I would have to say I agree on the assumption I thought the book would be based on something completely different. Next blog I recommend someone to read your blog over for grammar errors and mistakes for example "They gifts aren't no iphone or big expensive gift."
