Jacobs Loses

At a early stage in the book Jacobs lost his family, and was left with his dear friend Oscar and his not so friendly buddy Majok. To me this was a rough started but what i didn't expect was that it got worse alot worse. He separates ways with Mathew and Lousie but that didn't bother me as a reader they were not a big part of the story. For awhile Jacob did not lose anyone so i thought things were going smoothly until the  Gilo River, When Jacob lost his closet friend Oscar. Nothing has bothered me in this book so far because its not that interesting to me but losing Oscar got on my nerve. Shortly after that Jacob finally did what i wanted him to do for 157 pages. He beat the snot out of Majok, off topic but my favourite part.  After the bombs hit and Monyroor was knock uncontious Jacob loses his mamma stone, which is a big lose for him but i did not feel sorry for him he doesn't need that to remember his mom. He says things like is not safe without it, therefore i think it was due time for him to get rid of it. After the bombing Monyoor realizes whats going on and joins the SPLA. Now Jacob lost his Nephew. Throughout this book so far Jacob has had nothing but Loses. People like Majok call him weak but in the end i think Jacob will be the strongest.

    I Agree with your favorite part there, was mine too. That art was the most action part so far indeed. Also how Jacob is just losing everything like get it together man (just joking) but he still keeps a positive mind set all the time. He must be quite strong to always stay positive throughout everything he has been through in the book so far.

    I agree with you that Jacob doesn't need his stone. Him losing it is only going to make him stronger. You shouldn't need anything for your parents to know you are thinking about them and the other way around. Jacob losing his stone is only going to make him stronger and give him more to fight for.

    I agree with you that Jacob doesn't need his stone. Him losing it is only going to make him stronger.     I agree with both of you, beating the snot out of Majok was long overdue for Jacob. But Jacob loses his mama rock is something that really affected him. That was the last thing he had left of his mother other than a memory. I know if i lost my mom and only had one thing left of her i wouldn't want to lose it and if i did the feelings he had would be mutual. He doesn't even know if his mother is alive or not and that stone was how he coped with not having her. Not only to add he just lost his best friend and almost his nephew when he lost the stone, so hes losing people around him at least he always had his rock. So i don't agree with you that it was time to get rid of it.
